Andrew Klein

Andrew describes himself as an entrepreneur stuck in a finance body.

After graduating from Seattle University with a degree in accounting, Andrew began his career working for a large established CPA firm. While in college, he had written a very detailed business plan for a chain of crepe restaurants called Mobatta and in 2006 was able to convince a local shopping center to fund the costs of buildout for the first shop and which eventually grew to three locations and a catering business which generated over $1,000,000 in revenue.

Following his public accounting career, Andrew has worked for several startups including Qliance, and while there, he assisted the CEO in a successful effort to raise $12 million in venture capital.  He also gained invaluable experience in preparing all the accounting and due diligence reports for fund raising as well as understanding what constituted a winning sales pitch.

Andrew’s resume also includes joining the team at Redbox that was launching a coffee kiosk business.  They started as a team of four and built the business plan and logistics for the placement of almost 1,000 kiosks.  As the only true accountant in that startup group, Andrew established the accounting systems, GAAP Audit, AR/AP, internal controls, and reporting to the OUTR Board on the launch progress.  During this time, he also put in the time and effort to receive an MBA from Seattle University with a focus in Entrepreneurial Finance.

During his time at Redbox/Coinstar, Andrew became a mentor in the Seattle startup community coaching Startup-weekends and helping entrepreneurs with their financial models.  One of those companies BuildersCloud, invited him to be a co-founder when they got into the Techstars Accelerator.   Andrew later joined a well- known  angel investor group, located in Seattle, as the Executive Vice President.

After reviewing over one thousand deals for Angel Investors he saw an opportunity to help entrepreneurs get funded by helping them understand the numbers that drive all the financial funding decisions.  Today, Andrew leads a company he founded called Zccounting.com that preforms bookkeeping and other financial consulting services to help entrepreneurs establish and fund their businesses.
